Be care...Hi Katie, thanks for stopping by my blog. Be careful with what you are undertaking... going from zero to 13.1 miles in 14 weeks isn't going to be easy. You don't want to over do it and then get injured which will result in time off while you heal. Just listen to your body. Take it from someone who has been there and donbe that. I'm just getting back to running after being off the better part of 4 months.

Have you been fitted for shoes? That might be the problem with your numbness or perhaps they are laced too tight? Sometimes it's just the newness of running that your body has to get used to. Keep an eye on it and if you haven't been fitted for running shoes at a real running store, get there NOW!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00082536183912603694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4954149750323999059.post-59955780236983719902009-08-11T12:56:05.109-05:002009-08-11T12:56:05.109-05:00I am so glad you are finding joy in running! It is...I am so glad you are finding joy in running! It is a great endeavor! You will definately complete the half!! Often numbness can be attributed to shoes being too tight, so put your shoes on with the laces untied, walk around the house in them a bit, then tie 'em up, not too tight, now. Plus, your body is still adjusting! Have funMarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13056617753977713306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4954149750323999059.post-74036237625794514912009-08-11T11:58:58.492-05:002009-08-11T11:58:58.492-05:00Thanks for the great comment on my blog :) I'...Thanks for the great comment on my blog :) I'm looking forward to keeping up with yours as well!

Foot issue - have you been fitted for running shoes? It sounds like they are to tight - either size or tied to tight. But if you have not already done this - go to a quality running store (not footlocker) but one that specializes in running shoes that have actual runners working there. They will fit you to a shoe that will keep your feet happy. Happy feet are SO IMPORTANT!! :)

Keep on training and don't give up. You will totally work that 1/2 marathon!!
ChloeChloehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17943160527886185508noreply@blogger.com
